Mission Statement and Objectives
The Utah Medicare Outreach Coalition (UMOC) is a voluntary network of service providers, associations, agencies, businesses, and individuals committed to assist our communities and citizens with the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 specifically the new Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Program. The coalition is committed to:
- Identifying and contacting eligible participants
- Providing information about the new prescription drug coverage
- Assisting low income beneficiaries to apply and enroll for financial assistance
- Referring eligible participants to other benefit programs
UMOC provides communications support, reliable information, local coalition development, and training. UMOC partners are encouraged to participate as sponsors at one of the following:
Level 1 - post and distribute information
Level 2 - provide individual assistance to their current clients, post and distribute information
Level 3- provide assistance to the general public, their current clients, post and distribute information
